Prior to the start of the project, we created a detailed plan, including a project plan and risk analysis for each of the subprojects. We started the project with an extended testing period and successful certification in accordance with the stringent Q-Park standards. After a successful pilot project at the De Colonel parking garage, which is located beneath Q-Park’s head office in Maastricht, the other parking facilities in the Netherlands were gradually equipped with our parking management system and matching ParkAdvance parking equipment.
In addition to the familiar barcode and MIFARE® technology, all entry and exit terminals, door readers and payment terminals are equipped with Dip & Go and Tap & Go technologies. This technology enables carpark users to identify themselves and pay easily, ticket-free, quickly and securely with their bank card, loyalty card or any other accepted card. Users do not need to enter a PIN or use a payment terminal. In addition, the majority of parking facilities are fitted with automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system.
