WPS wins tender for Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen with future-proof parking solution
After an extensive tender procedure, Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen has selected WPS Parking Solutions as the supplier of a new Parking Management System (PMS). Hanze was looking for a modern, future-proof, and user-friendly system that not only facilitates access and payment, but also enables occupancy management and reporting. A system that also resolves the current bottlenecks on campus.
WPS emerged as the winner of the evaluation with the highest score in terms of price-quality ratio. The assignment includes the implementation of a PMS at three parking locations on the Zernike Campus in Groningen, covering a total of nearly 1,100 parking spaces. These are used by various target groups: students, staff, and visitors of both Hanze and the University of Groningen, as well as by paying external visitors.
The new solution consists of WPS’s ParkAdvance+ parking equipment, connected to the innovative and highly reliable ParkID cloud platform. This combination enables Hanze to focus on efficiency, ease of use, and flexibility. The system supports license plate recognition and will be expanded with, among others, WPS Pay and WPS Business Parking.
In addition, the PMS will be integrated with existing subsystems on campus, resulting in further optimization of the parking process. These smart integrations create a scalable and future-proof solution that aligns with Hanze’s ambitions in terms of digitalisation and user convenience.
With this assignment, WPS reinforces its position as a trusted partner for universities of applied sciences, research universities, and other complex parking environments. We look forward to taking the next step in smart and sustainable parking together with Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
